Children healing and finding joy through play therapy

What is Play Therapy?

Play Therapy is a child-led therapeutic process that can help a child to express their feelings, emotions and thoughts in a safe and non-judgemental way. Sometimes children can feel sad, worried or angry about things that they do not understand at home or at school.  Play Therapy can help a child to work things out in their own way when they play with toys, natural materials, or drawing and creating things.

What will happen in Play Therapy?

Within the play room a child can choose from a wide range of toys or use the natural, creative materials to play with. As a child plays the toys become the words, and play is the language of their emotions and feelings.

The child is the play boss!

Meet Your Play Therapist

I have worked in the education sector for many years, especially with children who have additional learning needs.

I understand that children can feel worried, anxious and upset about things. The process of play therapy supports children to work things out.

Play Therapy Reviews

Each 50 minute play therapy session is £60.
The play therapy session is on the same day and at the same time each week.
All sessions are payable in advance.

Before play therapy can begin there is a family session.  This session provides the opportunity for you and your child to meet Diana, ask questions about play therapy, provide additional information to Diana about the family, and give your consent for your child to engage in play therapy.

As part of the play therapy process for the child, regular reviews are held with parents and sometimes school to talk through any changes or ongoing things in the family home and at school.
Pay Therapy reviews may be held in-person or online.
There is a fee payable for each review.
